How do I start earning Bilt Points through Rakuten?
New to Rakuten? Sign up through Bilt for a free Rakuten account to start earning. You’ll get an email from Rakuten to set your password. Your Rakuten account will connect seamlessly after you link your Bilt account on Bilt’s app or website. Your Rakuten payment method will be set to Bilt. Once your Bilt account is connected, you can start earning Cash Back when you shop through Bilt or Rakuten. The Cash Back you earn will be sent as Bilt Points every three months, according to the Rakuten payment schedule.
Already have a Rakuten account? Link your Bilt account with your Rakuten account on Bilt’s app or website. Your Rakuten account will connect seamlessly after you link your Bilt account and your Rakuten payment method will be set to Bilt. Once your Bilt account is connected, you’re all set! Any confirmed Cash Back earned but not paid before switching to Bilt will be sent as Bilt Points by the next payment date.
Important: To link your Rakuten account to Bilt, the email addresses on both accounts must match. If the email addresses are different, you’ll need to update one of them before linking.
How do I earn Bilt Points with Rakuten?
Once you link your accounts, earning Bilt Points with Rakuten is simple.
- Start at Rakuten and choose a store. You can use the Rakuten website, mobile app, or browser extension. You can also shop through the Bilt website or mobile app.
- Shop as you normally would. If you’re using the browser extension, be sure to activate Cash Back before you start shopping. Once you make an eligible purchase, we’ll add Cash Back to your Rakuten account.
- Get Bilt Points! Your confirmed Cash Back will be sent as Bilt Points every three months, according to the Rakuten payment schedule.
What is the conversion rate from Cash Back to Bilt Points?
On Rakuten, you’ll shop and earn in Cash Back but you’ll get paid in Bilt Points. Your confirmed Cash Back will be sent as Bilt Points based on Bilt’s conversion rate. You can find the conversion rate in your Bilt account, or contact Bilt support for assistance. In the Bilt app, tap the profile icon in the top right corner to chat with support using iMessage or WhatsApp. Alternatively, you can click the chat icon on the Bilt website. Bilt has live support available 24/7.
Can I use the same credit card to earn dining rewards through Rakuten and Bilt?
Your credit card can only be linked to one dining rewards program at a time. If there’s another dining rewards program you’d like to participate in, we recommend you use a separate credit card for each program. This will prevent another rewards program from overriding the Cash Back you earn on Rakuten Dining. Check your credit card’s terms and conditions as details may vary by card.
When will I get my Bilt Points?
Any confirmed Cash Back you earn on purchases, bonuses and other rewards will be sent to your Bilt account as Bilt Points every three months, according to the Rakuten payment schedule.
How long does it take for pending Cash Back to be confirmed?
Once the store sends us your order details, your Cash Back will be pending. It will be added to your confirmed balance and included in your next payment, unless we receive new information from the store.
Online and in-store Cash Back typically takes 3 to 14 weeks to be confirmed. This waiting period exists in case of returns, exchanges, exclusions or other changes to your order.
Cash Back on Dining will be confirmed within 3 to 5 days after you dine.
Travel Cash Back is typically confirmed within 45 to 120 days after completing your experience.
Bonuses depend on a qualifying order and will be confirmed at the same time as the related Cash Back. Your Refer-A-Friend bonuses will be confirmed once your friend makes a qualifying purchase and their Cash Back is confirmed. All bonuses are subject to applicable terms.
Remember, your Cash Back, bonuses and other rewards need to be confirmed by the payment date to be included.

We’ll send your Cash Back as Bilt Points by the following dates:
- February 15
- May 15
- August 15
- November 15
Cash Back Activity
Cash Back Activity shows your current earnings, including both pending and confirmed Cash Back. The time it takes for Cash Back to be confirmed depends on several factors, including the store, store policy, reporting schedule, exclusions and returns. For more details, go to Cash Back Activity.

Is there a minimum balance to get paid?
Yes, you need minimum confirmed earnings of $5.01 before the next payment date to get paid. Cash Back must be confirmed by the store before the payment date to be included in your payment. If your confirmed balance is $5.00 or less, it will carry over to the next payment date.
