Cash Back on travel is typically confirmed within 45 to 120 days after completing your booking.
What do the different statuses mean?
Processing
Soon after you place an order, the Cash Back is processing. This means we’re waiting on the store to send us the details.
Pending
After the store sends us your order details, your Cash Back is pending. You may not see a pending Cash Back amount in your account until after your travel is complete. Cash Back on travel is typically confirmed within 45 to 120 days after completing your trip.
Confirmed
Cash Back was added to your confirmed balance, and will be included in your next payment.
Ineligible
This purchase isn’t eligible for Cash Back. This can happen for a few reasons, like cancelations, exclusions, using coupons not found on Rakuten and more.
Important: Any changes made to your reservation or booking will void Cash Back.
This includes changes to dates, room types, flight times, or any other booking details.
To earn Cash Back on modified travel plans, here’s what to do.
If you need to make changes:
- Cancel your original booking.
- Make a new travel purchase through Rakuten to earn Cash Back on the updated booking.
If you're extending your stay:
- Make a second, separate purchase through Rakuten for the additional nights.
- This ensures you earn Cash Back on your extended stay.
Important: Changing an existing reservation directly with the travel provider will void your Cash Back, even if the original booking was made through Rakuten.
