Ebates & Rakuten

Ebates is a high growth e-commerce company based in San Francisco. In 2014, we joined the Rakuten family of companies, and in 2017, we made a logo update to reflect this relationship. That change was made as a branding update only and has not changed our day-to-day operations in any way.

Here are some common questions and answers related to our logo update:

How does Ebates being a Rakuten company impact me as a member?

Memberships, earning Cash Back and our other regular functions have not changed at all.

If I have a Big Fat Check with the old logo on it, can I cash it?

Yes. The logo change does not impact our payments.

Are you based in Japan now?

No. Our parent company is based in Japan, but we continue to be headquartered in San Francisco.
