Supported Browsers

You can use Ebates on all of the most popular browsers, including: Microsoft Internet Explorer and Edge, Chrome, Firefox and Safari. Ebates works best with all of the current versions and some previous versions of these browsers.

Browsers that allow the creation of cookies are highly recommended, like Internet Explorer, Firefox, Chrome and Safari. Third-party browsers are not guaranteed to be compatible with Ebates and may prevent you from earning Cash Back.

Browser settings

Your browser may be configured in a manner that does not work with the Ebates program. If so, you may have trouble logging in or reaching our merchant sites. Below are some steps that you can take to adjust the settings of supported browsers to avoid these problems. 


Internet Explorer (IE), version 11+


Step 1: In IE, click the gear icon in the upper right corner, then select “Internet Options.”


Step 2: Go to the “Privacy” tab, move the slider to “Medium High” and click "OK."

  • Firefox, versions 15+

Step 1: PC users, click “Options” from the Firefox dropdown menu. Mac users, click "Preferences."


Step 2: Go to the “Privacy” tab and select “Use custom settings for history” under the "History" section and click “Exceptions.”


Step 3: Enter, click “Allow” and select “Save Changes.”

Chrome, versions 21+

Step 1: Go to the Chrome menu by clicking the three little bars icon in the upper right corner and click “Settings.”


Step 2: Click "Show advanced settings..."


Step 3: Under the "Privacy" header, click “Content settings…” and under the "Cookies" header, click "Manage exceptions…"


Step 4: Enter in the text box, select “Allow” from the drop down menu, and click the “Done” button.

Safari, versions 6+

Step 1: In the Safari menu, click “Preferences.”


Step 2: Go to the “Privacy” tab and under “Cookies and website data,” select “Allow from websites I visit.”

Edge, all versions

Step 1: Go to the Edge menu by clicking the three little bars icon in the upper right corner and click “Settings.”


Step 2: Scroll toward the bottom and click on “View advanced settings.”


Step 3: Under the Cookies header, select “Don’t block cookies.”
